Low Voltage Cable Technician (Copper & Fiber)
About the Role
VectorUSA is seeking all-level Low Voltage Cable Technicians to join our growing team. With 36+ years of experience delivering network solutions nationwide, we support critical infrastructure for schools, hospitals, enterprises, and government agencies. If you’re skilled in Cat5e/Cat6 and fiber installations and want steady, full-time work on high-impact projects, this role is for you.
Schedule
Monday – Friday | ~6:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Start and end times may vary slightly based on project and business needs)
Work Location & Travel
Field-based role across Southern California, including LA, Orange County, Inland Empire, and nearby areas. Travel is required based on project assignments.
Responsibilities
- Install, pull, terminate, and test Cat5e/Cat6 and fiber optic cabling
- Perform troubleshooting and certification testing
- Read and follow blueprints and project specs
- Maintain safe, clean job sites
- Support project completion alongside field teams
- Submit daily documentation
Requirements
- 1+ year of low voltage cabling experience
- Hands-on experience with terminations, punch-downs, pulling, and testing
- Ability to read blueprints
- Strong communication and professionalism on job sites
- Reliable vehicle (must fit a 6’ ladder) + own tools
- Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and fingerprinting
- Physically able to lift 50 lbs and work in field conditions
Qualifications (Nice to Have)
- Fiber termination experience (2–3 years preferred)
- Experience using Fluke testers
Pay
$25–$35/hour (DOE)
