About the role
Certified Anesthesiology Assistants are needed to work in the St. Johns/St Augustine area and may also work at other sites within Jacksonville/St. Johns areas. The position involves working with an anesthesia care team of 42 physicians and 52 allied health providers. Case types include general surgery, orthopedics, gynecology, neurology, spine, vascular, robotics, and more. Shifts are varied, and there is potential for overtime.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the administration of anesthesia during surgical procedures
- Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to medical emergencies
- Prepare operating rooms and equipment for surgeries
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely
Requirements
- Current certification as an Anesthesiologist Assistant
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Experience in anesthesiology assistance preferred
- Knowledge of anesthesia techniques and pharmacology
Qualifications
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently and under pressure
- Strong attention to detail
