About the role
Careers Youth Climbing Instructor & Camp Coach Loveland Climbing Collective is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced individual to join our team as an instructor for our Recreational Programs (ages 3-17), Birthday Parties, Holiday and Summer Camp Programs. As a vital member of our staff, you will be responsible for creating memorable experiences for youth climbers.
Responsibilities
- Create and lead engaging climbing programs for children aged 3-17
- Plan and execute birthday parties and holiday and summer camps
- Provide individualized instruction to enhance climbing skills and confidence
- Ensure safety and proper technique in all climbing activities
- Collaborate with other staff members to provide a cohesive program experience
Requirements
- At least one year of experience working with youth in a climbing environment
- Valid first aid certification
- Passion for climbing and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
- Experience with youth development and education
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of climbing techniques and safety protocols
