Lovelace Podiatry Nurse Practitioner
Lovelace Medical Group is seeking a self-motivated Podiatry Nurse Practitioner to join our growing team in beautiful Albuquerque, New Mexico.
About the Role
Join a surgical team of 1 physician, 1 customer service coordinator, 2 medical assistants, and 1 surgery scheduler at the Lovelace Medical Group Westside office. This position involves a mix of inpatient and outpatient care with a daily patient average of 18-24 on clinic days (Monday-Friday, 8 AM-5 PM). EMR system used: Epic (Ambience AI tool).
Responsibilities
- Manage pre- and post-operative patients
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate documentation
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage a wide range of foot and ankle conditions
- Specialize in wound care management and diabetic foot care, including prevention, treatment, and monitoring of lower extremity wounds and diabetic complications
Demonstrate strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities are essential.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nurse practitioner program
- Current licensure in the state of New Mexico
- Ability to obtain DEA registration and New Mexico Board of Pharmacy prescriptive authority by the time of employment
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills
- Experience in medical weight management is strongly preferred
