Responsibilities
- Handle and drive all cars safely to protect dealership property and ensure damage prevention
- Drive off-site to perform dealership tasks when necessary
- Take detailed notes on vehicle conditions and movements
- Compare serial numbers of incoming cars against invoices
- Inspect vehicles to detect damage and verify the presence of accessories listed on the invoice (e.g., spare tires, radio, and stereo equipment)
- Record the description of damages and list missing items on the delivery receipt
- Assign stock control numbers to cars
- Catalog and store keys
- Deliver sold vehicles to the new-vehicle preparation department
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED is required
- Successfully complete MVR, background check, and pre-employment drug test
- Valid driver's license
- Willingness to work unusual business hours, including holidays, weekends, and evenings
- Positive attitude, high energy, and excellent communication and social skills
- Ability to read and comprehend job-related instructions and information (electronic or paper-based)
- Ability to accommodate the physical requirements of the role: standing 6-8 hours per day, exposure to noise, vibration, dust, exhaust fumes, and a variety of hazardous and non-hazardous materials
- Spend most of the time outdoors and be exposed to the elements
