About the role

Grubbs Nissan is looking for a Lot Porter to oversee all aspects of vehicle inventory and arranging the lot, ensuring both new and used vehicles meet high standards of quality and presentation. This position requires a proactive individual who can identify and address potential issues with vehicles on the lot. You will collaborate with various departments to forecast demand, manage inventory movements, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. The Lot Porter is responsible for the efficient management of all inventory-related activities, including overseeing and ensuring the accuracy of inventory records. The successful candidate will play a key role in optimizing our supply chain and reducing costs by developing and implementing inventory strategies, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement, and collaborating with other departments to ensure smooth operations. This role demands a high level of attention to detail and the ability to work effectively under pressure.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement inventory management strategies and procedures.
  • Monitor inventory and ensure the lot is straight and filled correctly.
  • Analyze inventory to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Plan stock replenishment inventory accordingly.
  • Identify and address any issues related to inventory management.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Clean driving record.
  • Pass the required background check and clear the required drug screening prior to employment.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control systems and procedures.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience in planning stocking vehicles.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities.
  • Ability to lift 80 lbs without restriction or special accommodations.
  • Job is subject to out-of-state travel.

Schedule

  • Full-time: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM
  • Saturday, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM (required)
  • Sundays off, plus one additional day off during the week.
