Lot Porter (Sales)

About the role

Confidence Chevy Buick GMC, a Cavender Auto Family Dealership, is currently looking for a talented Lot Porter (Sales) to join our growing family and help "Make Confidence Happen".

Responsibilities

• Handle and drive all cars safely to protect dealership property and always ensure damage prevention.
• Drive off-site to do dealership tasks when necessary.
• Take detailed notes on vehicle conditions and movements.
• Compare serial numbers of incoming cars against invoice.
• Inspect vehicles to detect damage and to verify the presence of accessories listed on the invoice, such as spare tires and radio and stereo equipment.
• Record the description of damages and list missing items on the delivery receipt.
• Assign stock control numbers to cards.
• Catalog and store keys.
• Deliver sold vehicles to the new-vehicle preparation department.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED is required.
• Successfully complete MVR, background check, and pre-employment drug test.
• Valid driver's license.
• Willing to work unusual business hours, such as holidays, weekends, and evenings.
• Positive attitude and high energy.
• Excellent communication and social skills.
• Ability to read and comprehend job-related instructions and information whether electronic or paper-based.
• Ability to accommodate the physical requirements of the role: standing 6-8 hours per day and exposure to noise, vibration, dust, exhaust fumes, and a variety of other hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
• Role spends most of the time outdoors and is exposed to the elements.
