Lot Driver/Forklift Operator [PH]

What You’ll Do

• Transports inbound and outbound loads of finished products, bulk cheese, cheese drums and boxes and other necessary supplies or equipment to and from Monett plant lot and docks.
• Supports bulk cooler attendants with unloading process of bulk items.
• Serves as a relief receiver for shipping attendants with loading process of finished products.
• Performs safety and maintenance inspection of vehicle, reports problems and makes necessary arrangements for correction or repair.
• Keeps accurate records of trailers at the Monett facility, including lot checks.
• Collaborates with trailer needs for each department.
• Coordinates trailer needs for each department.
• Performs any other duties as assigned by the Team Advisor/Team Leader.

What You Need To Succeed

• High School Diploma – G.E.D.
• Class “A” CDL (General Knowledge and Air Brake Exam) and pass road test.
• Passes an ICC physical every two years and a vision test every year.
• Develops an excellent working relationship with personnel.
• Has a general mechanical knowledge of a semi-tractor in order to troubleshoot problem areas.
• Can perform all duties with minimal supervision.
• Handles a moderate amount of paperwork.
• Performs all duties of the Shipping and Bulk Attendant.
• Relieves the Shipping and Bulk Attendant as requested.
• Has an absenteeism rate of 65 points or less, commendable or better record in teamwork and overall job performance, and has no disciplinary action.

Qualifications

• Experience Semi-tractor driving
• Two seasons (winter plus spring, summer or fall)

Physical Demands

• Stand – 2 hours
• Walk – 2 hours
• Sit – 4 hours
• Forklift use – 3 hours
• Lift/carry up to 70 pounds – 1 hour

Production 02-2A ($23.58 - $27.77 base wage)
