Key Responsibilities
- Oversee Security Operations
- Lead the charge in maintaining a safe environment for guests and employees by patrolling hotel areas, monitoring security systems, and supervising security staff.
- Protect the resort's assets, from cash and equipment to high-value items, by ensuring strict adherence to security protocols and taking immediate action when necessary.
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the loss prevention team, ensuring excellent customer service and operational efficiency.
- Lead by example and maintain a positive, professional work environment.
- Be prepared to take swift action in response to security concerns, safety hazards, or incidents, ensuring the well-being of everyone on-site.
- Maintain detailed and accurate reports of any security incidents, key control activities, lost & found items, and safety hazards.
- Collaborate across departments to resolve security issues, support operations, and enhance the overall guest and employee experience.
- Ensure all established security policies and procedures are followed, in line with WinStar's high standards.
Requirements
- You’ll need at least 2 years in a supervisory role in security or loss prevention, with a solid understanding of how to protect assets and manage safety protocols.
- A solid background in loss prevention and security, as well as familiarity with hotel or resort environments, will set you up for success.
- Your ability to communicate clearly, both in writing and verbally, is crucial in reporting incidents and working with other departments.
- You’ll need excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to address any security issues that arise and maintain a safe environment.
- The ability to stay alert, notice discrepancies, and handle sensitive situations with care is key to success in this role.
- Previous experience managing or supervising a team, with a hands-on approach and a collaborative leadership style.
- Flexibility with your schedule, including working holidays, weekends, and rotating shifts as required.
Physical & Environmental Demands
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs. during shifts.
- Work in varying temperatures (indoors and outdoors), and potentially in areas with secondhand smoke.
- Ability to handle mental and physical stress while maintaining focus and professionalism.
