Responsibilities
- Lead the daily operations of the Loss Prevention Department, including collections, charge-offs, repossessions, bankruptcies, recoveries, and legal collection activities.
- Coach, mentor, and develop a team dedicated to providing professional and compassionate member service.
- Ensure compliance with Credit Union policies and all applicable federal and state regulations.
- Assist with complex member situations by negotiating repayment solutions and recommending appropriate collection strategies.
- Monitor delinquency trends and identify opportunities to reduce losses and improve processes.
- Develop and maintain department policies, procedures, and workflows that promote efficiency and accountability.
- Partner with leadership to identify portfolio risks and operational improvements.
Requirements
- Three to five years of collections, lending, or related financial services experience.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Strong communication, conflict resolution, and relationship-building skills.
- Able to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Knowledge of collections regulations and financial institution operations is preferred.
Qualifications
- Three to five years of collections, lending, or related financial services experience.
