Loss Prevention Specialist Intern 2027
About the role
Operations roles at Amazon put you at the center of how things move from a click to a doorstep. You'll help design, improve, and run systems that connect people, products, and places, at scale. You'll take ownership early, work closely with teams to solve real-world challenges, and see the direct results of your decisions as they reach customers every day. This role is a 10-week internship starting in the Summer of 2027.
As a Loss Prevention Intern, you will lead the effort to efficiently and effectively provide security services and asset protection (including people, buildings, equipment, data, and intellectual property) in a designated fulfillment center (FC). You will report to the Loss Prevention Manager and assist in a project benefiting the team, while collaborating with cross-functional teams such as Human Resources, Finance, Corporate Audit, Security Services, and Inventory Control Quality Assurance.
The Loss Prevention Intern supports the implementation of a standardized, cost-effective security services program, measured by objectives and metrics related to customer service, access and inventory control, employee and visitor protection, and improvements to non-security department productivity.
Fulfillment refers to completing a customer’s Amazon order through picking, packing, shipping, and delivery. Operations workflow includes three major lanes: first mile (product storage), second mile (transport to the area), and last mile (delivery to the customer).
