Loss Prevention Specialist

About the role

As the Loss Prevention Specialist, no two days are ever the same. You focus on preventing loss and controlling shrink by monitoring various areas of the store for fraud, compliance discrepancies, and other related activities. You work to identify potential concerns through the use of video surveillance and other systems, and apprehend in accordance with company policy, local and state laws, with safety as the prevailing priority. The Asset Protection Specialist ensures the store is a safe and secure environment for customers, associates, and business partners.

Responsibilities

• Monitor store areas for fraud, compliance discrepancies, and other loss-related activities.
• Use video surveillance and other systems to identify potential security concerns.
• Apprehend individuals in accordance with company policy and local/state laws, prioritizing safety.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for customers, associates, and business partners.
• Work in varying environments, including inside the store and its perimeter.
• Approach challenges positively and build relationships with team members.
• Teach and guide others on loss prevention practices.

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older.
• Experience in loss prevention, asset protection, or related fields.
• Commitment to safety and welfare of self and others.
• Ability to work in varying environments.
• Positive and kind approach to challenges.
• Enthusiasm for building relationships and teaching others.
