Loss Prevention Detective
Job Description
Your primary responsibility is to complete the daily tasks required for Store Loss Prevention and safety programs. You will maintain positive relationships with Store Management, conduct apprehensions within established policies and guidelines, communicate with store Associates on damage and shrink initiatives, identify and resolve internal and external theft, adhere to established shoplifter guidelines and policies, provide timely, courteous, and knowledgeable service to customers, promote a culture of honesty and integrity, maintain confidentiality, observe, apprehend, and/or deter any acts of dishonesty from outside sources, participate in investigations and surveillance as assigned, ensure apprehensions are consistent with store theft activity, complete and distribute paperwork in an accurate and timely manner, maintain appropriate evidence, demonstrate understanding of law enforcement procedures, and professionally participate in legal activities as needed (e.g., police calls, etc.). You will also coordinate and complete shrink related activities in partnership with Store Management, adhere to all labor laws, policies, and procedures, support and participate in store shrink reduction goals and programs, and promote safety awareness and support the maintenance of a safe environment.
