About the role
Sage Hospitality Group is seeking a Loss Prevention Agent for their luxury lifestyle hotel in Downtown Los Angeles. The hotel is an independent property with a focus on artful hospitality and is located near cultural institutions and dining options.
Responsibilities
- Search for, handle, and report any unusual circumstances, safety violations, car theft, destruction, and/or suspicious or undesirable persons.
- Patrol all areas of the property, including outside parking lots, on a regular basis.
- Respond to guest complaints and concerns with a sense of urgency and investigate to remedy the situation.
- Document a concise security report on a daily log including incidents of theft, accidents, and safety violations.
- Complete necessary security forms to document losses of property or personal injury to guests or associates.
- Maintain familiarity with all hotel disaster and emergency policies, procedures, and regulations; respond immediately to emergency alarms or calls for help.
- Conduct investigations of security incidents.
- Enforce the 'No Solicitation Policy' of the property.
Requirements
- High school education or equivalent experience.
- Minimum two years prior experience in loss prevention.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification.
- Good communication skills, ability to recognize drug and alcohol abuse.
- Ability to communicate through a portable radio.
- May require a second language.
- Excellent hearing required for communication.
- Excellent vision required for emergencies and visual safety inspections.
- Excellent speech communication skills required for communication.
- Excellent comprehension and literacy required to complete reports and logs.
Qualifications
- Lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying may be necessary.
- Bending/kneeling may be necessary in administering CPR and First Aid.
- Mobility - continuous standing is necessary for responding to emergencies and patrolling the building.
- No driving is required.
