Loss Prevention Agent

About the role

The Loss Prevention Agents are responsible for conducting patrols and surveillance of hotel property, identifying irregularities and suspicious activities, reacting to emergency situations, and following up on incidents.

Responsibilities

• Read, write, understand, and generate incident reports.
• Communicate clearly and concisely.
• Respond to emergency situations with knowledge of emergency response procedures.
• Answer phone calls and greet guests/employees professionally.
• Maintain constant attention to detail to prioritize tasks and follow up on assignments.
• Communicate and interact with different levels of personnel and the general public in a professional manner.
• Use initiative and judgment within established guidelines.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1-year hotel experience.
• Minimum of 2 years in a security officer role preferred.
• Certifications in the fundamentals of First Aid, CPR, and AED use.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, understand, and generate incident reports.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
• Knowledge of emergency response to various emergency situations.

Skills

• Ability to communicate and deal with different levels of personnel and the general public in a professional manner.
• Use initiative and judgment within established guidelines.

Additional duties

Additional duties as directed.

Physical Demands

• Regularly stand for up to eight continuous hours.
• Walk, reach, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
• Lift and move up to 50 pounds.

Education/Experience

• Minimum of 1-year hotel experience.
• Minimum of 2 years in a security officer role preferred.
