Loss Mitigation Underwriter, Team Lead

About the Role

This position leads the Loss Mitigation Underwriter team, handling escalated matters, providing training, and offering assistance and oversight to junior staff in the absence of their Supervisor or Manager. All duties are performed in accordance with company policies, procedures, and applicable state and federal laws.

Responsibilities

• Respond to escalated issues from internal and external sources.
• Assist with pipeline assignments and workflow management.
• Analyze, distribute, and prepare reports; track account workflows and provide results to management.
• Monitor performance and provide additional training to junior staff as needed.
• Assist with training new hires.
• Perform supervisory responsibilities for relief assignments in the absence of the Supervisor.
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert for the department, making decisions and providing direction on challenging files.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Five or more years of underwriting experience in loss mitigation.

Pay

$30.00 - $33.00 an hour.
