Key Responsibilities
- Work with the LDW/Transportation Specialist to determine if claims are going to be approved.
- Work with the LDW/Transportation Specialist to decide if trailers are going to be totaled, repaired, parted out, or scrapped/sold on site.
- Work with vendors and part suppliers to facilitate repairs including transportation.
- Work with vendors to dispose of totaled trailers.
- Recover trailers that are going to be parted out at our branch or vendor.
- Handle all vendor invoices and BOS’s for trailers.
- Facilitate subrogation claims for customers.
- Ensure proper communication with all parties including the customers.
- Maintain accurate claim files, repair records, estimates, and supporting documentation within company systems.
- Track repair and claim timelines to help minimize trailer downtime and improve operational efficiency.
- Aid in coordinating trailer moves nationally.
- Aid in processing transportation invoices.
- Cook up transportation scheduling and provide updates to internal teams, vendors, and customers regarding trailer movement status.
- Communicate transportation delays or service issues to ensure timely resolution and customer satisfaction.
- Aid in insurance claims and determinations of totaled trailers.
- Determine when insurance trailers should be repaired and manage those repairs.
- Review repair estimates and supporting documentation for completeness and accuracy prior to approval.
- Cook up with insurance adjusters, vendors, and customers to support timely claim resolution.
- Aid in determining if damage is going to be claimed to the manufacturer.
- Cook up with the LDW/Transportation Specialist to determine if damage is going to be claimed to the manufacturer.
- Coordinate claims and repairs for damaged trailers.
- Process invoices and claims for repairs.
- Document and photograph in-transit trailer damage to support manufacturer and carrier claims.
- Cook up with manufacturers, carriers, and branch personnel to ensure timely inspection, repair, and claim resolution.
Education & Minimum Requirements
- A high school diploma, associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience in transportation, fleet operations, trailer leasing, insurance claims, logistics coordination, or related field preferred.
- Experience working with vendors, repair facilities, or transportation providers is a plus.
- Prior experience with commercial trailers, fleet maintenance, or heavy equipment operations preferred.
