Loss Control Consultant - Strong construction background

About the role

HETI is seeking experienced consultants with at least 10 years of health & safety expertise, including general liability insurance in construction, manufacturing, oil & gas, environmental, and fleet management risks.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field risk assessments and industrial hygiene services
• Provide expert consultation on health and safety issues related to various industries
• Manage projects from start to finish, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
• Collaborate with subcontract consultants to deliver comprehensive solutions

Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience in health & safety
• Experience in general liability insurance involving construction, manufacturing, oil & gas, environmental, and fleet management risks
• Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to travel as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Risk Management, or a related field
• Professional certifications such as OSHA 10/30 Hour, CHMM, or similar
• Experience working in a consulting or professional services environment

Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
