Los Ninos Teacher Aide - Part Time

Essential Functions

• Aid in implementing the daily program under the supervision of the Lead Teacher.
• Prepare necessary materials and supplies for the indoor-outdoor space.
• Supervise center activities under the direction of a Lead Teacher.
• Assist with children’s needs such as diaper changes, toileting, changing clothes.
• Participate in classroom activities and projects, including setting up and clean up.
• Maintain supervision during playtime and facilitate appropriate playtime activities.
• Consider individual children's backgrounds and treat them with dignity and respect.
• Support intergenerational activities, focusing on building relationships across the ages.
• Assist with snack and meal preparation and serving.
• Ensure a safe and healthy environment for children, promoting good eating habits.
• Contribute to ongoing assessments of children's developmental levels.
• Attend staff meetings and participate in recommended training programs.
• Support parent-staff activities and community events.

Skills And Abilities

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Past experience working with children preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.
• CPR, First Aid, or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire.
• Fingerprint clearance card required.
