Looking for a patient and reliable babysitter in Arlington, VA.

We’re a friendly family with four kids (ages 10, 7, 4, and 19 months) looking for a warm, reliable, and engaging babysitter for occasional evenings out, typically from 6–9 pm.

About the role

• Mostly care for our fun and energetic 4-year-old and 19-month-old; our 10- and 7-year-olds are very self-sufficient and just need an adult present.
• Typical evening includes playing, snacks, bath time, and getting everyone settled for bed.
• Dinner is already prepared.
• This is currently a one-time job, but we’d love to find someone our kids enjoy who might become our go-to sitter for future date nights.

Responsibilities

• Engage with and supervise the 4-year-old and 19-month-old.
• Provide snacks and assist with bath time.
• Help all children get ready for bed.
• Maintain clear, reliable communication with parents.

Requirements

• Experience with childcare and comfort handling toddlers.
• Background check required.
• Verified college enrollment or graduation.
• Genuine love for working with children.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to follow directions.
• Patience, playfulness, and attentiveness.
