Christ the King School in Chicago is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Long-Term Substitute Teacher to join our school community during the 2026–2027 school year. This position will teach 5th and 6th grade Mathematics while the classroom teacher is on leave. Position Start Date: August 2026 Expected Duration: Approximately 12 weeks Middle school mathematics is a critical foundation for student success as they prepare for the rigorous junior high math curriculum, including pre-algebra, algebraic reasoning, and foundational geometric concepts. Substitute Teacher The substitute teacher will monitor students and their learning in the absence of the regularly scheduled teacher. The substitute will maintain a positive learning environment in the classroom while facilitating lesson plans left by the regularly scheduled teacher. A successful candidate will be one who is able to follow direction, hold students accountable, and is enthusiastic about education and learning.
