Blessed Virgin Mary School is accepting applications for a long-term substitute teacher to fill the position from August 31 to October 30.
About the role
- Teach various subjects in grades K-5
- Support students' academic and social-emotional growth
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff members
Responsibilities
- Adhere to school policies and procedures
- Prepare lessons and materials according to curriculum guidelines
- Assist with classroom management and discipline
- Participate in professional development opportunities
Requirements
- Valid Pennsylvania teaching certificate or temporary certification
- Experience working with children in a classroom setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications
- Master's degree preferred, but not required
- At least two years of teaching experience
- Pass an FBI fingerprint check and Child Abuse and Criminal Background check
