Long Term Substitute ~ Grade 1 Teacher

The Gray-New Gloucester Russell School is seeking a highly qualified substitute to teach first grade for approximately 12 weeks beginning in October 2026.

About the role

• Positive attitude and ability to create a strong classroom community
• Develop meaningful relationships with students, staff, and families
• Strong understanding of high-yield instructional strategies in all core content areas, particularly with developing foundational skills in reading, writing, and math
• Experience related to instruction of students of a similar age will be prioritized
• A Maine Department of Education teaching certificate (020) is preferred

Compensation

Compensation Range: $135.00 - $150.00 per day
