Long-Term Substitute for 2026-2027 School Year (Full Benefits - Medical-Dental-Vision Available for Eligible Staff )
We are seeking a professional individual to join our team as a Long-Term Substitute Intervention Specialist in an ESC self-contained classroom at Miami East High School (3825 OH-589, Casstown, OH 45312). This position is hired and employed through the Miami County Educational Service Center.
About the Role
Candidates will work with students experiencing multiple disabilities. Selected individual must be willing to work toward obtaining their Alternative Resident Educator Licensure (AREL) through the State Board of Education within two years of their hire date.
- Must have (or will be obtaining) an SBOE license as an Intervention Specialist with either mild-to-moderate or moderate-to-intensive teaching fields, or
- Substitute Teaching License, or
- Willing to work toward obtaining an Alternative Resident Educator License (Intervention Specialist, PreK–12).
Must complete and have satisfactory results on reference checks, pre-employment verification, and BCI and FBI background checks.

Required hours: 7:15 am – 2:45 pm
