About the role
The Greene County ESC is currently accepting applicants for a long term substitute aide for the INC program (Intensive Needs Classroom Assistant).
Responsibilities
- Documenting behaviors
- Preparing instructional materials
- Assisting with the management of student behaviors
- Working cooperatively with building and program staff and students
- Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance
- Delivers instructional lessons directed by program teacher that align with TEACCH philosophy and follow INC curriculum
- Participates in gross motor and physical education activities
- Assists in developing visual supports
- Provides tailored therapies to students as prescribed by related service personnel
- Escorts children to assigned instructional areas
- Assists teacher in teaching students to follow routinized systems, including student schedules and program schedules
- Provides behavioral interventions and models appropriate behaviors
- Assists children with toileting and other self-care needs
- Supports students in inclusive environments in the school and community
- Collaborates and cooperates with support staff and other building personnel
- Engages in professional development and training designed to reduce physical engagement and increase safety for students and staff
- Engages in appropriate physical management tactics for the safety of students and staff
- Acquires new skills through professional development upon recommendation from supervisor or teacher
- Participates in the annual evaluation procedure
- Helps students develop appropriate social skills
- Assists with data collection in order to monitor student growth, or help with FBAs and BIPs
- Conducts other duties related to the aide's duties as assigned by the classroom teacher, Principal, Director, or ESC Superintendent
Requirements
- Substitute teaching license through the Ohio Department of Education
Qualifications
- Minimum of a High School diploma
Pay
$100.00 per day
Schedule
7 hours per day, 5 days per week
