Long-Term Sub: School Psychologist at Preschool (Full or Part time)

Qualifications

• Master's level school psychologist
• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License with endorsement in School Psychology (PreK-Age 21)
• Previous experience preferred

Working Conditions

Full-time or Part-time, long-term substitute assignment beginning as soon as possible. Reports To: Assistant Principal of Student Services.

Systems Support

• Supporting efforts to build a responsive system through MTSS
• Participating in building based and district level MTSS activities

Assessment

• Engaging in Data Day activities as part of a larger MTSS system
• Selecting appropriate assessment instruments
• Conducting assessments appropriately
• Interpreting assessment information accurately
• Screening/referral/evaluation process
• Reporting assessment data in a clear and concise manner
• Providing classroom observations
• Conducting screenings

Designing Individualized Educational Programs

• Developing individualized goals and objectives based on assessment results providing long-range student planning
• Fully participating in the IEP process

Provision of Direct Services

• Providing consultation and training to staff and parents as needed
• Providing training for parents and staff as needed
• Participating in the development and implementation of mental health preventative strategies
• Demonstrating an understanding of individual and group counseling techniques

Case Management

• Participating with the building Student Services Team
• Monitoring implementation of student I.E.P.s
• Managing and coordinating required paperwork
