About the role
The New Mexico Behavioral Health Institute – Meadows Long Term Facility is located in Las Vegas, New Mexico. It provides long‑term and skilled nursing services with 162 nursing home and skilled‑nursing beds. Services are provided 24/7, focusing on maintaining or improving residents’ physical, mental, and psychosocial well‑being under a personalized plan of care developed by licensed health professionals. The primary customers are residents who are unable to live in their communities due to failing health.
This position exists to provide direct personal care and related support to long‑term care facility residents to maintain quality care services and provide an optimum quality of life, while ensuring adherence to Department of Health and facility policies and procedures. Working conditions include an office setting with computer and phone usage, as well as a psychiatric hospital setting with patients who struggle with mental illness and may present unpredictable behavior.
