About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Certified Medication Aide (CMA) who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of residents every day.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer prescribed medications accurately and in accordance with physician orders, facility policies, and state regulations
- Observe residents for medication effectiveness and potential adverse reactions, reporting concerns promptly to the licensed nurse
- Obtain and record vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respirations, and communicate abnormalities appropriately
- Assist residents with mobility, including safe transfers, ambulation, and repositioning in accordance with care plans
- Provide support with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding
- Respond promptly and professionally to call lights and resident requests for assistance
- Monitor and report changes in residents’ physical, emotional, or behavioral condition to the supervising nurse
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation of care and medication administration
- Ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment in accordance with infection prevention and safety protocols
- Communicate effectively and respectfully with residents, families, and members of the interdisciplinary care team
- Adhere to all facility policies, state and federal regulations, and infection control standards
- Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure individualized care plans are implemented effectively
Qualifications
- Current, active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the State of Wyoming, in good standing
- Current Medication Aide certification in the State of Wyoming, in good standing and eligible to administer medications per state scope of practice
- Demonstrated ability to provide safe, compassionate, and person-centered care to residents with diverse clinical needs
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, particularly in medication administration and documentation
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills with residents, families, and healthcare team members
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented, fast-paced clinical environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to respond appropriately to changing resident needs
- Commitment to maintaining compliance with all applicable regulations, policies, and professional standards
