About the role
The Long Island Nets Seasonal Internship is a part-time, paid program running from October 14th, 2026 to May 13th, 2027. Start and end dates can be flexible depending on your academic calendar. Interns are expected to work about 20-40 hours per week, with some days in-office and others remote. Each intern will be assigned to a specific department for the duration of the program. All internships require flexibility to work games and events, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Program hours will primarily take place at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, NY, with occasional hours at headquarters in Sunset Park, Brooklyn.

Business Operations Intern
Responsibilities
- Support gameday and event logistics, budget and expense tracking, and administrative projects
- Prepare reports, presentations, and dashboards
- Assist with Kids Zone operations
- Serve as a liaison between the business staff and Basketball Operations

Communications Intern
Responsibilities
- Support gameday PR activations

Game Presentation Intern
Responsibilities
- Support planning and execution of Long Island Nets home games, theme nights, and special events
- Stage manage and coordinate performers and entertainment talent
- Manage props and promotional inventory
- Assist with sponsored activations and fan engagement initiatives
- Contribute to event logistics, run-of-show preparation, scheduling, and creative ideas for theme nights

Ticket Sales Intern
Responsibilities
- Research and prospect new business
- Conduct outreach to prospective clients
- Support planning and execution of season ticket member benefits
- Maintain sales and ticketing information in Ticketmaster Archtics and Salesforce
- Assist with fan engagement and on-court experiences on game days
Qualifications
- Outgoing, motivated, and relationship-oriented individual
- Interest in sales, customer service, and the business of sports
- Comfortable engaging with prospective clients and fans
- Capable of managing details and contributing to gameday experiences
Pay
Compensation for the seasonal internship program is $18 per hour. Interns are expected to work between 20-40 hours per week.
Requirements
- Program is designed for college seniors, graduate students, or recent graduates
- Must be authorized to work in the US for any employer
- All roles require onsite work at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum and occasional hours at headquarters in Sunset Park, Brooklyn
