About the Role

A Driver is responsible for delivering finished goods to customers safely and on time while maintaining excellent customer service and adhering to all company and regulatory policies.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the accuracy of products delivered upon arrival.
• Assist customers in offloading products.
• Exceed customer expectations through excellent service and relations.
• Handle all money and C.O.D. transactions as required.
• Maintain a logbook, maximize backhauls, and fuel up at specified terminals.
• Adhere to safety, EEOC, OSHA, and DOT regulations.
• Ensure loads are secure and maintain the cleanliness of the tractor and trailer.
• Comply with Leggett & Platt and state/federal DOT regulations.
• Prepare daily reports on the quality and quantity of incoming and outgoing materials.
• Maintain effective communication with the Traffic Manager, Dispatcher, and other departments.
• Initiate actions to prevent non-conformities related to product, process, or system.
• Identify, record, and address problems with product, process, or quality systems.
• Control further processing or delivery of nonconforming product until issues are resolved.
• Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping of all tractors and trailers.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Detail-oriented with strong decision-making skills.
• Must possess a Class A CDL.
