Logistics Transportation Specialist

Job Description

As a Transportation Agent with Expeditors you will take ownership of a customer portfolio, being responsible for bookings, accurate deliveries and scheduling of transportation between customer, service provider and receiver. You will provide timely and accurate documentation, processes through Expeditors systems within the operational process standards. You will communicate delays and work with autonomy to solve challenges to achieve delivery needs of your clients.

Qualifications

• Position Hours are 09:00 am to 18:00pm - Monday-Friday
• Previous experience within the logistics field or equivalent training of 2 years
• Associates or Bachelors Degree
• Solid oral and written communication skills
• Strong problem solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Proficient computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Key Responsibilities

• Customer Service: Communicate effectively with customers and to ensure a compliant and complete shipment process in a timely manner, documenting customer needs for future use, and maintaining an excellent working relationship with your customers.
• Operational Excellence: Take ownership of understanding and complying with Expeditors internal process standards, to complete timely, accurate and compliant documentation, customer billings and system updates accordingly.
• Service Provider Relationships: Build strong partnerships with multiple Service Providers ensuring your clients is serviced to a high level, ensure accurate and timely invoicing for your service providers.

Additional Information

• Expected base salary: $22/hr to $24/hr
• May be eligible for bonus following first year of continuous employment in position.
