About the job
As the Logistics Support Specialist, you will provide critical administrative support to the Account Management and Carrier Manager teams to ensure the delivery of excellent customer service. This is a team-based role that supports a variety of department processes including order data entry, scheduling, track and trace loads, and driver pick-up and delivery. Ideal candidates will have strong relationship building, communication, and organization skills. This position is in-office, daily.
Responsibilities
- Enter and manage customer load tenders within the company's Transportation Management System (TMS).
- Communicate customer changes and needs to account management, carrier management, and sales teams.
- Update customer TMS platforms with driver information, arrival and departure times, shipment documentation, and other customer-specific requirements.
- Schedule pickup and delivery appointments via phone and email while ensuring compliance with legal transit and operational requirements.
- Maintain a professional, organized, and safe work environment.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- Possesses working knowledge of Office 365 products.
- Prior knowledge of the logistics and transportation industry is preferred, but not required.
- Prior experience with a TMS or CRM is preferred, but not required.
- Strong customer service mindset and commitment to delivering a positive customer experience.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, that can be used for a variety of audiences.
- Strong attention to detail that can be seen by a high level of accuracy through work.
- Exceptional time management and personal organization abilities.
- Ability to professionally interact and collaborate with others in a team-oriented environment.
