Logistics Supervisor - Sofo Foods - Lakeland, Florida

About the role

Sofo Foods is looking for an experienced Logistics Supervisor to manage fleet operations by supervising drivers, dispatching, routing, and planning to ensure safe, timely, and accurate delivery to customers. This role involves handling reverse logistics, tracking fleet financial and delivery performance metrics, and ensuring compliance with Federal and State regulations as well as internal safety protocols. You will represent Sofo Foods with third-party providers and work closely with internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and drive a motivated workforce to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
• Maintain, promote, and reinforce safety programs and security awareness.
• Work with internal stakeholders to ensure prompt and timely resolution of logistics-related issues.
• Manage, plan, and coordinate deliveries, backhauls, and for-hire cartage.
• Oversee the dispatch process based on required delivery and shipment schedules.
• Ensure department compliance with FMCSA, OSHA, and other government regulatory agencies.
• Assist in training team members on processes and equipment.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in a multi-shift distribution center.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, management, logistics, or a related field (preferred).
• Previous experience as a logistics supervisor or similar leadership position.
• Strong working knowledge of warehouse and transportation operations and inventory management.
• Experience with EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) Transactions and ERP Systems (Oracle preferred).
• Experience with finances related to warehouse operations.
• Experience in Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Powered Industrial Truck Certification (forklift) with experience in stand-up, rider-reach, and rider trucks.
