Manage and coordinate logistics, warehouse, transportation and customer service activities. Lead and direct strategic planning for logistics and customer services. Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision. Interact professionally with other employees, customers, and suppliers. Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations. Responsibilities

• Overseeing the inventory management process, defining departmental strategies for appropriate inventory levels, eliminating obsolete and off-spec material, and reducing aging material.
• Determining and coordinating the performance plans that support SOP/SOW intra-inter business unit execution to awarded contracts and task orders.
• Developing methods and procedures for scheduling raw materials from suppliers to support manufacturing in achieving customer demand and minimizing cost impacts to NSS.
• Developing and maintaining transportation system that ensures business needs are met.
• Managing customer service activities including order entry, customer satisfaction, interface with sales, production, labs, regulatory, and quality ensuring that NSS’s customer service resolves critical customer complaints.
• Able to develop and interpret complex analysis of logistics; must be able to detect complex problems and recommend resolutions.
• Ensuring Company follows laws and regulations regarding transportation, including hazardous materials.
• Reviewing any legal issues pertaining to transportation/distribution.
• Maintaining receiving, warehousing and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating and enforcing program operational and personnel policies and procedures.
• Safeguarding warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
• Motivating, organizing and encouraging teamwork within the workforce to ensure set productivity targets are met.
• Overseeing the planned maintenance of vehicles.
