Logistics Supervisor

About the role

This position is located onsite at our facility in Kearny, NJ. There is no option for remote or hybrid work. This role supports Cencora's global logistics and storage services marketed through our World Courier business.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and assist in leading and managing the Gateway Operations, including drivers, dispatchers, and operations personnel.
• Supervise day-to-day operations and assign work to direct reports.
• Handle and document low-level personnel issues.
• Document and deliver staff performance feedback and performance reviews.
• Assist with staffing and scheduling to ensure optimal coverage on all shifts.
• Participate in interviews for new hires.
• Maintain confidentiality of employee records.
• Ensure a clean and harassment-free work environment.
• Manage station inbound and outbound shipments and assign resources as needed.
• Monitor discrepancies by ensuring appropriate notes are entered in the job.
• Ensure all job instructions and packaging needs are followed.
• Monitor scheduling to ensure proper coverage at all times to handle workload.
• Use GPS tracking and ensure drivers are assigned to appropriate vehicles.
• Anticipate, prioritize, communicate, and resolve problems throughout the day.
• Manage employee training requirements and train staff on operation procedures.
• Comply with TSA screening of freight.
• Troubleshoot and manage problems through the corrective action process.
• Monitor shipment notes for shipments on hold or otherwise in the station’s custody.
• Monitor live animals being held in the station to ensure proper care.
• Provide guidance to other staff members/offices with general questions about operations and packaging.

Requirements

• Minimum of an associate degree.
• 5 years of relevant supervisory experience.

Pay

Salary Range: $59,500 - $119,020. This range reflects a national average for this job. The actual range may vary based on your locale. Ranges in Colorado, California, Washington, New York, Hawaii, Vermont, Minnesota, Massachusetts, and Illinois may be up to 10% lower than the minimum salary range, and 12% higher than the maximum salary range.

This is a full-time position.
