Logistics Supervisor
Work Schedule: 1st Shift
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and direction for day-to-day distribution operations to ensure customer demand is met consistently and efficiently.
- Maintain supply reliability for customers and locations, ensuring all medical gas deliveries comply with FDA standards and Linde's quality assurance system.
- Schedule delivery of packaged and cryogenic products to meet internal goals, customer expectations, and operational standards.
- Train the Distribution Team in all aspects of Linde Safety and Quality systems and requirements.
- Monitor distribution efficiencies and staffing levels to ensure customer demands are consistently met.
- Lead safety initiatives, including administering safety training, conducting evaluations, and overseeing accident investigations.
- Control costs by evaluating shipments, consolidating loads, and selecting the most cost-efficient method of shipment.
- Drive productivity to maximize distribution capabilities and operational efficiency, while providing job training that fosters career development and growth.
Requirements
- High school diploma; a college degree is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 2+ years of leadership experience, along with at least 2+ years in Distribution, Logistics, or Transportation.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively in all situations.
- Knowledgeable of regulatory agency requirements including FDA, DOT, OSHA, and EPA.
- Experience working in a Union environment is a plus.
- Demonstrated reasoning, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated with the proven ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of accountability.
