Logistics Supervisor
About the role
JAS is an international, non-asset-based supply chain services and solutions company. Our services include air and ocean freight forwarding, contract logistics, customs brokerage, distribution, inbound logistics, truckload brokerage and other supply chain management services, including consulting, the coordination of purchase orders and customized management services.
Responsibilities
- Cook up the Operations and Service Level of the operations
- Support the managers to manage the operations to budget
- Timely administer all reporting to the corporate office
- Schedule and supervise the staff at the Branch
- Communicate (written and verbal) appropriately to the audience
- Show leadership through work ethic and commitment
- Handle project implementation
- Conduct performance evaluations for direct reports
- Recommend hiring, firing, and promotion
- Resolve personnel issues
- Ongoing coaching and mentoring of staff to develop skills to the highest level
Qualifications
- Show ability to manage and lead people
- Manage in a multitask role
- Have a working understanding of a transactional or dedicated transportation model
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Have strong interpersonal and customer-service skills
- Be resourceful, well-organized, highly dependable, efficient, and detail-oriented
- Exercise initiative, good judgment, time management, and problem-solving skills
Education and Experience
- Degree in supply chain and logistics
- 3+ years’ experience in related field
- 1+ years’ experience in leadership
- Working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, MS Word, and MS Excel
- Familiarity with logistics process
Pay
The compensation range for this position is $65,000 - $75,000 based on skills and experience.
Schedule
100% performed in a climate-controlled internal office environment working under normal office conditions. National and International travel will be (up to ___%) required in support of the position’s responsibilities.
