About the role
We are looking for a Logistics Supervisor for 3rd Shift to join our Electrical Products (EP) Business Unit in Grand Prairie, TX. The EP Business Unit offers a full range of low-voltage power distribution and control products delivering safe, reliable, and efficient electrical solutions across residential, commercial, and industrial markets. This role requires flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
The primary responsibilities include Receiving, Storage, Inventory management, and Delivery to Manufacturing. You will work closely with Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Planning to support production and supervise 15-25 team members across 3 shifts.
Responsibilities
- Supervise a team responsible for accurately and efficiently receiving, storing, picking, kitting, and delivering material to assembly lines.
- Handle team scheduling and daily assignments.
- Manage warehouse cycle counting, root cause analysis, and resolution of all warehouse-related discrepancies.
- Engage in significant interaction with every other department in the plant.
Requirements
- 2 or more years’ experience in manufacturing or warehouse distribution environments and inventory replenishment methods (KANBAN, Vendor Managed Inventory, Consignment, etc.).
- 2 or more years of experience supervising/leading small to medium size teams.
- Ability to work 3rd Shift: 11:00pm - 7:30am.
- Leadership skills with the ability to work with different levels in the organization.
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office) with excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- SAP Experience.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or supply-chain management (a combination of education—High School Diploma or GED—and directly related work experience will also be considered).
- SAP Experience (SAPwp).
- Project management with proven delivery of improvement projects in a manufacturing environment.
- LEAN, Six Sigma, Root Cause, and Continuous Improvement skills.
- APICS/CPM Accreditation.
