As a Logistics Specialist II, you will take on a more advanced role in coordinating and managing logistics activities within the ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area. IAS is a leader in ISR and aviation, specializing in manned and unmanned aircraft systems integration for high-performance ISR and aviation systems. Its capabilities include design, integration, test, certification, ground/flight training, and complete logistics support, tailored to customer cost, performance, and schedule requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the preparation and documentation of logistics materials, including spares, tools, and equipment.
  • Manage the shipping and routing of materials, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Maintain and analyze records of equipment, components, repair parts, and related manuals.
  • Optimize the allocation and organization of storage facilities for logistics materials.
  • Ensure compliance with import/export requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to Logistics Specialist I.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 1+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of state, federal, and global regulations related to logistics.
  • Basic Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
  • Basic understanding of Inventory and Supply Chain/Logistics principles and techniques.
  • Experience with inventory databases.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Advanced proficiency in logistics software and tools.
  • Familiarity with AvPro or similar aviation maintenance tracking systems.
  • HazMat Training/Certification.
  • Ability to operate a forklift.
  • Experience with shipping databases, such as FedEx, DHL, UPS.
  • Current Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and clean driving record.
  • Understanding of shelf life.
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military.

Essential Functions

  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly.
  • Ability to work on your feet for a majority of the work shift.
  • Ability to work in a loud environment.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
  • Ability to work in an office or hybrid environment.

This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment. Non-U.S. citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Department of Defense Consolidated Adjudications Facility (DoD CAF) handles the adjudicative aspects of the security clearance eligibility process.
