Logistics Specialist I

About the role

The Logistics Specialist manages and maintains inventory of tools and equipment to ensure they are in proper working condition. This role executes deliveries and supports project personnel with tool-related material requisitions, consumables, and other requested support services.

Responsibilities

• Purchase tools and equipment as requested by manager
• Prepare tool orders as requested
• Drive and deliver tools and equipment to locations as needed
• Ensure tools and equipment are in proper working order
• Perform general maintenance and repairs as needed
• Perform shipping and handling duties, including driving a forklift, loading and unloading trucks, and receiving deliveries
• Perform general building maintenance tasks such as moving office supplies between buildings, yard work (leaf blowing, garbage removal, sweeping), and installing or hanging fixtures
• Conduct general inventory and stock shelves as necessary
• Inform manager of items that need to be reordered

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 2–4 years of relevant experience
• Valid driver’s license with clean record
• Forklift certification required
• CDL license and first-aid certifications preferred
