Logistics Specialist I
About the role
Under limited supervision of the Logistics Supervisor, you will provide logistics support including picking, packing, assembly, sorting, shipping, and receiving of orders to meet productivity and quality goals. You will assist with forecasting and requisition of serialized and non-serialized materials, and be efficient in convertor staging, cleaning, and screening processes.

Responsibilities
- Unload, receive, store, package, load, and ship inventory items (e.g., cable converter boxes, broadband modems, fiber cable, installation kit accessories, network system hardware, telephones, and accessories for business telephony) from vendors, distribution centers, depots, and retail stores.
- Prepare, maintain, and file proper forms for material movement and transactions.
- Complete all necessary receiving and shipping transactions for accuracy.
- Track the movement of inventory items from arrival to shipment and record daily inventory movement.
- Participate in training Logistics Specialist I team members.
- Participate in periodic warehouse inventory and cycle counts, verifying inventory counts and investigating discrepancies.
- Order, receive, store, and maintain warehouse supplies.
- Operate vehicles safely, including thorough pre/post-trip inspections and record keeping.
- Receive material and equipment from suppliers and maintain inventory control.
- Issue supplies to field personnel.
- Maintain upkeep, preventive maintenance, and calibration of vehicles, forklifts, tools, and warehouse facilities.
- Prepare damaged and scrap materials for off-site return shipping and repair.
- Clean, screen, and test bench customer premise equipment and power cords.
- Reconfigure and stage converters.
- Package kits for customer orders and bulk packaging of single inventory items for contractors or other warehouses.
- Operate forklifts according to safety protocols, including daily checks, preventive maintenance, and calibrations.
- Transport inventory occasionally to other warehouses or customer locations using company vehicles.
- Perform additional logistics and warehouse operational duties as necessary.
Qualifications
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license in good standing within the state of current residence.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.
- Ability to prioritize and organize effectively.
- Knowledge of basic mathematics and electronics.
- Skill in using a Windows-based computer.
- Ability to work independently and with others.
- Ability to comply with all Company implemented safety procedures.
- Skill in using small hand tools.
- Ability to operate a vehicle and forklift in a safe and responsible manner.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Maintain regular attendance for assigned hours.
