About the role

The Logistics Specialist is responsible for coordinating domestic and international transportation activities to ensure the timely, cost-effective, and compliant movement of goods. This role works closely with carriers, freight forwarders, distribution centers, and customs brokers to manage shipments, resolve transportation issues, support import/export processes, and drive continuous improvements in service, efficiency, and supply chain performance.

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage all inventory-related transactions and data integrity within SAP systems.
  • Maintain system accuracy for inbound, outbound, and internal inventory movements.
  • Develop, document, and enforce SAP inventory processes, procedures, and controls.
  • Partner with IT and ERP teams to ensure system functionality, enhancements, and integration across platforms.
  • Audit SAP transactions, inventory records, and financial data to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Generate reports and dashboards on inventory levels, accuracy, trends, and KPIs.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for systemic inventory issues.
  • Train and support operations teams on SAP usage, inventory processes, and best practices.
  • Logistics & Transportation Coordination:
    • Own and manage all inventory-related transactions and data integrity within SAP systems.
    • Communicate and resolve shipment issues impacting delivery performance.
  • Analyze logistics and inventory data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to improve business processes across inventory, SAP systems, and logistics operations.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and performance metrics related to inventory accuracy, costs, and service levels.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or Technical Degree
  • 2+ years related experience
  • Preferred: Bachelor's Degree
  • Applicable industry/professional certification

Qualifications

  • Advanced knowledge of SAP inventory processes, transactions, and data management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Understanding of warehouse operations, transportation, and supply chain processes.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with operations, IT, and external partners.
  • Experience with data reporting tools, Excel, and performance metrics.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

Skills
