Summary Logistics Specialist
- Serves as a critical liaison between overseas suppliers, internal stakeholders, and customers, ensuring seamless operations while maintaining financial integrity.
- Strategically oversees the end-to-end supply chain, proactively manages financial aspects, and drives operational excellence through data-driven decision-making and cross-functional collaboration.
What You'll Do
- Orchestrates international logistics operations by managing comprehensive documentation workflows for outbound shipments, cross-border transfers, and regulatory compliance, ensuring adherence to customs requirements and delivery timelines.
- Directs procurement activities by strategically evaluating customer and affiliate demand, negotiating with suppliers, and issuing purchase orders that optimize cost, quality, and delivery performance.
- Develops and maintains strategic partnerships with sales teams through proactive communication regarding inventory status, order fulfillment progress, and potential supply chain constraints that may impact customer commitments.
- Executes performance monitoring protocols to track shipment accuracy, on-time delivery metrics, and service level agreements, implementing corrective actions when deviations occur.
- Champions continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process inefficiencies, leading root cause analysis for operational challenges, and driving cross-functional projects that enhance supply chain effectiveness.
- Maintains forecast accuracy and demand planning integrity by maintaining 100% alignment between customer forecasts and actual orders, recognizing the critical impact on financial performance, working capital management, and supplier production planning.
- Manages and avoids aged account receivable.
- Works closely with contact manufacturers to achieve capacity requirements and address issues and concerns relating to suppliers' performance as soon as possible.
- Manages and procures raw materials and inventories to ensure continuous delivery of finished products to customers and avoid aged inventory.
What You'll Need
- Associate's degree and 6-9 years of experience is preferred.
- May lead (orient, train, assign, check work) of other administrative employees.
