About the role
This is a unique opportunity to build a team of daily operators that establish the rhythm of business that enables us to serve matcha to a billion people. We are hiring a Logistics Shift Supervisor to lead the day-to-day preparation and deployment of our fleet of beverage carts throughout the greater Seattle area.
This is a leadership role for Vale’s team of drivers, cart technicians, and logistics staff. This role is in-person, with the team, and deeply connected to our daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead drivers and coordinators during assigned shifts.
- Cookout daily routes, deliveries, equipment deployment, drop-offs, pickups, and service schedules.
- Maintain driver performance, attendance, productivity, and customer service.
- Assign work orders and prioritize maintenance and repair activities for beverage carts and related equipment.
- Conduct pre-shift meetings to communicate daily objectives, safety expectations, and operational updates.
- Ensure all beverage carts are stocked, cleaned, sanitized, charged and operational before deployment.
- Verify beverage carts are deployed in compliance with local health department regulations, food safety requirements, and company operating procedures.
- Monitor vehicle and equipment inspections, preventive maintenance, and repair documentation.
- Respond quickly to field emergencies, equipment failures, route disruptions, and customer concerns.
Qualifications (Must-Have)
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing hourly employees in a daily two-shift cadence.
- 3+ years of experience leading and managing hourly employees.
- 3+ years working in a shift-based operation with two or more daily shifts.
- 3+ years of experience managing schedules and logistics for people and equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues on the spot.
- Friendly and approachable demeanor with good communication skills.
- Able to follow processes and maintain consistency in daily operations.
- Comfortable with light technical tasks and learning new systems/tools.
- Able to lift 50 lbs and be on your feet for extended periods.
- Valid drivers license and acceptable driving record.
Nice-to-Have
- 1+ years of experience in food & beverage, retail, or hospitality environments.
- Experience working with equipment, kiosks, or light technical systems.
- Familiarity with inventory management or restocking processes.
- Interest in robotics, automation, or consumer technology.
- Startup experience or comfort working in fast-changing environments.
