Logistics Service Representative

The Logistics Service Representative ensures transportation activities align with customer requirements, Incoterm obligations, market conditions, and company objectives related to service, cost, cash flow, and sustainability. This role actively monitors key logistics performance metrics, identifies opportunities to improve network efficiency and customer service, and fosters strategic partnerships with carriers and logistics providers through structured performance management and service level reviews.

This is a hybrid role based in Midland, MI.

Responsibilities

• Manage transportation planning, subcontracting, freight booking, and freight execution processes within agreed timelines.
• Monitor and interpret Incoterms and market conditions to ensure compliance and efficiency.
• Oversee the freight settlement process, including invoice matching and dispute management.
• Keep internal parties informed of delays and act as the point of contact for escalations.
• Monitor key performance indicators (ADD, OTL, OTP, OTD, QN rates) and lead projects to improve efficiency in service, cash flow, and sustainability while monitoring cost-to-serve.
• Build strong relationships with logistics service providers to ensure satisfactory and continuously improved Service Level Agreements, including facilitating regular Carrier Performance Management reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training/apprenticeship in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related commercial field.
• 6+ years of relevant work experience, preferably in customer service, supply chain, or logistics.
