Logistics Sales Representative
About the role
As a full-time, on-site Logistics Sales Representative, you will be the driving force behind our business growth. You will source and develop new customer relationships, manage existing accounts, and promote OTR Freight Solutions’ comprehensive transportation and logistics services.
Responsibilities
Business Development: Prospecting leads, making high-volume outbound calls and emails, and hunting for new business.
Account Management: Preparing quotes, negotiating competitive rates, and managing your portfolio of clients.
Operations Collaboration: Coordinating closely with internal operations teams to ensure timely and accurate freight movement.
Customer Service: Tracking shipments, resolving service issues proactively, and maintaining open, clear lines of communication with customers.
Data Integrity: Maintaining detailed records in our CRM systems to track sales pipelines and performance metrics.
Requirements
Sales & Business Development Skills: Proven ability in prospecting, lead generation, negotiation, and closing deals.
Logistics & Transportation Knowledge: Familiarity with freight brokerage, modes of transport, and basic supply chain principles.
Relationship Management: Strong account management skills, including responsiveness, creative problem-solving, and service-oriented communication.
Organizational & Analytical Skills: Sharp attention to detail, accurate data entry, and proficiency using CRM and other digital sales tools.
Qualifications
Previous experience in logistics, freight brokerage, or B2B sales is highly relevant.
Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, or a related field is preferred.
