Job Summary
Reporting to the Project Sales Leader, the Logistics Planner, Fleet will be responsible for overseeing and managing the logistics of vehicle flow, planning, and execution for national fleet accounts. This role will serve as the key point of contact between Manufacturing, Sales, and Distribution teams to ensure the efficient delivery of vehicles while optimizing resources and maintaining customer satisfaction.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Ensure adherence to policies and procedures of Inventory Management (internal and external controls)
- Lead the National Accounts (fleet, GSA, Chassis) schedule with corporate planning and develop optimal operational plans that incorporate manufacturing constraints
- Accountable for the enforcement and management of commercial relationships with Outside Vendors to ensure efficient flow of deliveries
- Collaborate with sales, manufacturing, quality, service, and Distribution teams to optimize targets that support our ability to deliver the promise to our customers
- Report to material and manufacturing leadership on production status and identify countermeasures
- Analyze data, process flows, and sales functions to maximize resources
- Develop and challenge resources to improve performance through optimized systems, continuous process improvements
- Provide and maintain monthly tracking of performance and monthly commodity/activity and savings
- Monitor Supplier Performance Measurement in terms of quality and service of the cost via reporting structures
- Manage the Approved Vendor List including Vendor Profile, Vendor Performance
- Perform other related job duties as assigned; including but not limited transportation of units to and from Service centers.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and production specifications
- Strong data analysis skills, proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems
- Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, both verbally and in writing
- Experience with national accounts and large-scale vehicle delivery planning
- Familiarity with vendor relationship management and performance metrics
- Strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing logistics challenges
- Knowledge of logistics operations, fleet management, and supply chain processes
- Ability to calculate rates, ratios, and percentages, and perform basic mathematical operations
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
- Basic Education And Experience Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related technical field required
- 5+ years of vehicle logistics experience required
- Must have Valid driver’s license; Valid Commercial license with passenger endorsement or will obtain with training within first 90 days upon hire (Training & support will be provided to obtain the license If needed.)
WORKING CONDITIONS
- This position is highly physically active and requires frequent movement, lifting, standing, and other physical tasks throughout the day
- The worker is required to have visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data; transcribing; expansive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly of fabrication of pats at distances close to the eyes.
