About the role

Pentagon Technologies, Inc. is a leader in providing mission-critical semiconductor services. This role is initially offered as a temporary position through a staffing agency; strong performers may convert to a full-time, direct employee after the contract period, subject to business needs.

Positions are available on First Shift (6 am–2:30 pm) and Second Shift (2 pm–10:30 pm).

Responsibilities

• Ship parts back to customers according to specific packaging directions.
• Ensure accountability of orders sent to the facility from customers.
• Review purchase orders or packing slips to match customer information with received orders.
• Input information into Pentagon Technologies’ MIS system.
• Verify that supplied parts within the purchase order/packing slip are received.
• Work with outside delivery vendors and understand basic shipping documentation.
• Inventory parts sent from the customer with strong attention to detail.
• Follow operating procedures to ensure consistent, reliable, and timely processing/packaging of parts.
• Use MIS systems and peripheral hardware such as scanners, printers, and the like.
• Follow specific packaging instructions provided on a work order traveler.
• Generate packing labels and shippers using the company MIS system.
• Schedule pick-ups with shipping vendors via the internet or telephone.
• Maintain package-tracking information and file all work order travelers with supporting documentation.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of assigned areas.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to read and comprehend internal and external documents such as work order travelers, inventory records, bills of lading, packing slips, logs, and general company records, as well as customer packing slips or purchase orders.
• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Appreciation for timeliness, quality, and punctuality.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of assigned areas.
• Forklift Certification highly desired.

Safety

Employee will be trained in and must follow all general safety requirements of Pentagon Technologies, as well as specific safety regulatory requirements. Must be able to function in a controlled chemical and wastewater environment and in a laboratory environment. Persons sensitive to chemical environments may not be considered.

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to sit and stand; reach with hands and arms; perform light routine office work, including computer workstation usage.
• Should be able to pick up 50 lbs on an occasional or regular basis.
• Regularly push or pull heavy loads (up to 750 lbs) with basic material handling equipment.
