Logistics Operations Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Oversight of daily OS&D office tasks and execution by assigned team members.
• Ensuring photos are taken of freight on the floor, including bubble freight, new lines, and overall OS&D areas.
• Monitoring and responding to OS&D inquiries received via email.
• Reviewing Target allocations in SmartSheets for dock check verification and confirming new allocations.
• Ensuring load slips are printed and distributed accurately.
• Reviewing Damage Intake Sheets in SmartSheets to confirm claim or no-claim status.
• Maintaining and updating the Damage Log, ensuring copies are printed and shared with the team.
• Reviewing tallies and identifying items requiring hard closing.
• Receiving dock check updates from the team prior to first break and updating documentation accordingly.
• Reporting discrepancies exceeding defined thresholds (i.e., >5%) to management.
• Documenting, photographing, and reporting NIF issues, water damage incidents, and in-house damages.
• Verifying shipped items against Allocation Dock Checks, including confirmation of brown-taped shipments.
• Ensuring updated Dock Checks and Damage Logs are printed and retained for records.
• Overseeing floor execution of OS&D logging, processing, and shipping activities.
• Ensuring OS&D freight is processed and shipped in accordance with customer and internal requirements.
• Cooking dispatch of Air Freight and LTL shipments as required.
• Supporting billing activities for assigned facilities, including claims support and drayage invoice coordination.
• Reviewing billing and invoicing documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
• Partnering with Planning and Finance teams to resolve billing discrepancies and customer inquiries.
• Ensuring billing support documentation is properly retained and audit-ready.
• Overseeing printer room operations, including vessel packet printing, assembly, and distribution.
• Ensuring tally sheets for vessels are filed accurately and retained.
• Supporting Customer Service with vessel documentation, pending files, and pull plans.
• Ensuring documentation workflows meet customer requirements, including Target compliance standards.
• Supporting OS&D investigations, documentation accuracy, customs compliance, and customs cage processes.
• Aiding in racking inventory compliance, SSL surveys, and audit preparation.
• Maintaining and updating SmartSheets, logs, and workflow documentation.
• Communicating operational updates and supporting implementation of process changes.
• Providing day-to-day supervision, task prioritization, and guidance to customer service and support staff.
• Supporting Employee Engagement Committee (EEC) initiatives and employee communication efforts.
• Reinforcing documentation discipline, accountability, and standard work practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum Required Qualifications: Experience in customer service or operations support within a warehouse or logistics environment. Working knowledge of OS&D processes, billing/invoicing support, and documentation control. Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work cross-functionally. High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and five years related experience as a warehouse supervisor and/or lead. Familiarity with Excel spreadsheets and Warehouse/Yard Management Systems preferred. Experience supporting high-compliance retail customers (ie: Target). Familiarity with customs documentation and audit support. Prior lead or supervisory experience.
