Logistics Material Handler- 2nd Shift

About the role

The Forklift Operator/Material Handler position will operate a forklift to stack, relocate, and move goods, supplies and materials from one place to another. The operator is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle (i.e. forklift, boom, scoop, lift beam and swivel hook, fork-grapple, clamps, elevating platform etc.) and may also be required to perform operator duties.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift to stack, relocate, and move goods, supplies and materials.
• Pick up and deliver parts and materials between production lines.
• Pick up and deliver parts and materials from shipping/receiving and the warehouse.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
• 2 to 3 years of experience safely operating a forklift in a manufacturing environment.
• Valid state‑issued driver’s license (to operate a motor vehicle).

Skills

• Strong analysis, problem solving, process and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Dynamic communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organized with good decision‑making skills.
• Ability to complete forklift training (written and driving test) and obtain a forklift license.
